Child Safety
WERS Statement of Commitment to Child Safety
All children and young people have the right to feel safe and be protected from abuse, regardless of their gender, race, religious beliefs, age, disability, sexual orientation, or family or social background.
WERS has zero tolerance for child abuse and neglect, and all allegations and safety concerns are treated seriously and consistently.
WERS is committed to providing a service and creating an environment that ensures the protection of all children and young people from harm and abuse, and strives to uphold their right to be taken seriously.
Everyone working or volunteering at WERS understands they have a responsibility for the care and protection of any children and young people who may come into contact with WERS’s services.
WERS will make every attempt to ensure the reporting of information about child abuse to the appropriate authorities.
